Some tru(ish) confessions

It seems I’ve had a few days off school and the whole place has erupted into nakedness and true confessions. I’ll pass on the nakedness, it has to be very hot for me to take off my cardi, but I’ll have a go at a few true(ish) confessions.

I learnt early on that you can get away with most things if you have the right disguise.
I’d rather be out in the wilds but have lived much of my adult life in a town.
I have been accused of being aloof and standoffish. This is always a surprise to me as I see myself as thoughtful and restrained.
I was brought up in a cottage with no electricity and 15 cats.
I love travelling to wild places. I’ve sat with mountain gorillas in Zaire (Congo) and camped wild in Alaska.
I tend to be rather lazy.
I can be bossy and self opinionated.
I’ve surprised myself at writing this as it is very out of character. I detest being the centre of attention.

Wow knocked out by the Gorillas - that is something I envy you. It is interesting how people get the wrong end of the stick - espcially if you are one of the quieter, more introspective kind of people.

Oh heck! no electricity? We had a power cut yesterday morning which lasted about 10 minutes and I nearly cried because I couldn't dry my hair! My daughter did cry because she couldn't watch Sponge Bob. And those gorillas. What an amazing experience that must have been. Crystal x

WOW onthe gorillas - how amazing - I am quite obsessed with them. I have periods of introspection too and am sure it has been interpreted as being aloof in the past - it's not at all!

I love your #1 and know it to be true!
I'm really enjoying The Diary of an Ordinary Woman - can't wait for book club discussion to begin.

very impressed re: Gorillas and camping wild! in Alaska, I'm sure not as aloof as you think, otherwise you wouldn't be on here

I'd love to know how someone works the conversation round to say, "you're aloof and stand-offish." bloody cheek!
