The Garden in September

Tiny golden leaves from the silver birch tree are on the lawn this morning. Soon all this will be gone. How sad.

Gorgeous garden LWB and loved the post about the hedgehog too. We didn't see so much of ours this year. Last year they kept us awake with their mating squeals - very high pitched and most disconcerting!

How lovely that you still have so many flowers left.
You may have leaves from your silver birch...we have a million nasty little seedlings which have taken root everywhere

I think the turning of the season is so wonderful. Autumn is my favourite season, I love the brown and red autumn colours. Your garden looks lovely as I think it will do all year round.

Lots more colour in your garden than mine, its all parched by August but geraniums are flourishing as are the bright yellow daisies which grow like weeds. Could you come across and deal with my silver birch that looks rather sickly ?

that is maddening! I was so smug with remembering the names of cobea scandens and rhodochiton (even if can't spell it) and then you go and put them in the tag anyway so I can't show off! Had them at the last house, but never looked as good as that.

Looks wonderful - much more colour than in mine. I am a bit fixated on spring but whenever I see pictures like that I think I should get my autumn garden together.
