Purple Prose - your choice

Wow! What a response. Now we need to whittle the suggested books down to 4 or 5 of the most popular before we make our final choice of purple prose.

Please put your 1st choice and 2nd choice of book in the comment box. Bear in mind the book needs to be currently in print and readily available to all.

I’ll publish the 4 or 5 most popular on Children, Chocolate and Wine. Then we can vote for the book we want to read this time.

1st-Fallen Angels
2nd Jayne Eyre

I don't think I will be able to keep up with the book club (don't get enough time to read as much as I would like) but if either of these 2 come up as favourites count me in for 1st reading at least-I have both books here on the book shelf unread and it might motivate me to get on and read one! I always get distracted by something else.

warm wishes

1st Unless
2nd Dairy of an ordinary woman

some of the others are great but have already read them so would like encouragement to read something new.

I'd probably go with Redemption and Star of the Sea, not my original recommendations but I haven't read those.
